Where can I go for help?

Thames Valley Police take honour based abuse very seriously. We deal with each case sensitively and confidentially and your safety is always our top priority.

If you do not feel that you can approach the police yourself, it is important that you tell someone else what is happening to you. It may be difficult to talk to someone in your family because you may not know for sure where their loyalties lie. You can:

  • speak to a teacher, social worker, doctor or another professional
  • talk in confidence to one of the organisations and charities listed on this page
