Didcot Power Station
On 23rd February 2016 a major incident was declared following the partial collapse of Didcot A power station.
This tragic incident resulted in the fatality of Michael Collings and three men, Chris Huxtable, John Shaw and Ken Cresswell were left unaccounted for.
Between 31 August and 9 September 2016, the bodies of Chris Huxtable, John Shaw and Ken Cresswell were located and recovered from the site. Each man was given a Guard of Honour made up of representatives from the agencies involved in the response to the incident, along with site-owners RWE and their contractors Coleman and Company.
These included Thames Valley Police, Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service and South Central Ambulance Service and the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
Following the collapse, HSE and TVP launched a joint investigation into the cause of the incident under the Work Related Deaths Protocol.

A year on from the partial collapse of the boiler house at Didcot A power station on 23 February 2016, Thames Valley Police (TVP) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) continue to investigate the circumstances that resulted in the tragic deaths of Michael Collings, Ken Cresswell, Chris Huxtable and John Shaw.
Thames Valley Police can confirm that the body recovered at Didcot Power Station earlier today (11/9) has been formally identified as John Shaw from Rotherham.
Members of the media are invited to send a representative to a Guard of Honour at Didcot A Power Station which will take place today (11/9) between approximately 5am and 7am.
Thames Valley Police believe we have located the last missing man from Didcot power station today (9/9).
Thames Valley Police can confirm that the body recovered at Didcot Power Station earlier today (8/9) has been formally identified as Ken Cresswell from Rotherham.

Thames Valley Police believe we have located one of the two missing men from Didcot power station today (7/9).
