Updated: Officers remain at scene of incident - Oxford

Thames Valley Police officers currently remain at the scene of an incident in Oxford supporting Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service.
The Force was called at 4.45pm today (14/2) following reports of an explosion, a fire and the collapse of a property.
Officers on the scene have been assisting to evacuate residents of nearby properties. South Central Ambulance Service is also on the scene.
A small number of people have sustained injuries and are currently being treated by emergency services for minor injuries.
Mill Street is currently closed and a cordon is in place in the area.
Ch Insp Marc Tarbit, Deputy Local Police Area Commander for Oxford, said: “Our officers are currently on the scene working closely with our colleagues from the other emergency services. We are keeping an open mind as to the cause of the incident however we are not treating it as terrorism-related."
“We are continuing to ask members of the public to please avoid the area to allow the emergency services to work at the scene.
“I also appreciate incidents of this nature cause disruption to the community so I would like to thank people locally for their patience and understanding while we are working to respond to the incident.”
