Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Criminal damage in Sonning Common
You reported criminal damage in Sonning Common.
In response we increased our high-visibility patrols in the area, carried out house to house enquiries and spoke to the local school. We believe that there are possible links to the Arson at Sonning Common and have identified the offender who’s interview is pending.
You said: Arson
You said that someone had committed Arson in Sonning Common.
We did house to house enquires along and spoke to the local schools. The Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team were in attendance and an offender has now been identified and is awaiting interview.
You said: Criminal damage in Goring
You said that there was criminal damage occurring in Goring.
In response the neighbourhood team upped high visibility patrols in the area to try and deter the offenders. We also carried out a plain clothes operation and engaged with several young people. A press release was sent out appealing for information along with text alerts and leaflet drops to the local relevant properties. We have been working closely with the Parish Council to try and resolve the issues. The investigations are ongoing at this time
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
