Local priorities - 'You said, We did'

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  • You said: Anti-social Behaviour (ASB)

You said: we have a number of locations identified as cause for concern regarding ASB.

    We did:
We did: as the longer evenings are upon us there has been an increase in reporting of youths hanging aroung in local parks and play areas. We have increased our visibility patrols and liaised with the youths in the park areas. Where offences have been identified a robust course of action has been taken; we are working with partner agencies in certain locations to make available alternative spaces and activities for the teenagers to engage with. This will be ongoing as we approach the summer months and the school holiday period.

  • You said: Parking

You Said: a number of residents in villages with schools located within them have raised the issue.

    We did:
We did: the team has attended the local schools during drop off/pick up times, liaising with staff and parents. We have been successful in educating parents with regard to road safety and parking but will continuet o monitor and assess the results of our patrols at drop off/pick up times at all of our local schools.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
