Local priorities - 'You said, We did'

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  • You said: Speeding

    You said: vehicles are speeding in Cassington.

    We did:
    We did: we carried out community speedwatch indication checks and our Roads and Policing Department visited to carry out some enforcement. The residents of Cassington have taken the opportunity to set up their own Community Speedwaatch and we have trained volunteers so that this can begin shortly. This s great news for Cassington and fantastic that residents are able to volunteer and become involved. If you would like to get involved with Community Speedwatch in your village then please contact the NHPT.

  • You said: Drugs

    You said: an address in Eynsham was involved in drug use.

    We did:
    We did: we executed a Drugs Warrant at the address. Several people were dealt with for drug offences and one has been charged to attend court. Information relating to drug use in the area can be given to the local NHPT or can be given anonymously using Crimestoppers on: 0800 555 111

  • You said: Parking

    You said: Poor parking on various road in Eynsham.

    We did:
    We did: In conjuction with the Neigbourhood Action Group we have been using parking advice stickers for the main problems. We have visited drivers/owners of vehicles and given advice about parking. In offending cases we have issued tickets and made contact with West Oxon District Council who have attended and undertaken enforcement for the worst offenders. Parking is an ongoing challenge in Eynsham and we will continue to take positive action in cases we see and that are identified to us.
