Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Burglaries
you said you were concerned about a recent burglary spate.
We mounted extra visible reassurance patrols, held a neighbourhood watch crime reduction meeting, we offered property marking and Selecta DNA packs. We updated you with significant arrests and convictions.
You said: Anti Social behaviour (ASB)
You said you wanted us to reduce anti-social behaviour from groups of youths in Bourne End, Marlow, Stokenchurch and Lane End.
We worked with partners, such as Bucks County Council, Schools and all the housing associations to identify hotspots and work on problem solving. We worked with young people applying ASB legislation to encourage better behaviour. We increased patrols and focused them on locations where you told us there were problems.
You said: Road Safety
You said you were concerned about speeding vehicles, particularly around schools. Also you said you were concerned about dangerous parking obstructions.
We carried out a week of road side enforcement and have further days planned, worked with partners at Community SpeedWatch and the Safety partnership. We enforce parking offences when appropriate and refer complaints to the District Council as the primary agency resposible for parking.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
