Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Road safety - working with the communtiy and partnership agencies to address road safety.
You said reduce instances of speeding.
We introduced a dedicated officer to coordinate Community Speedwatch (CSW). We run regular enforement days to back up the good work of CSW. We work with the NAGs, Town and Parish Councils to support their work with Mobile Activated Vehicle Speed (MVAS) and Your Indicated Speed Is (YISI) devices.
You said: Vehicle crime - working with the community and partnership agencies to reduce vehicle crime.
You said to reduce vehicle related crimes such as theft from motor vehicles.
We isolated parking locations and have more frequent patrolling to deter criminals. Whilst patrolling we check vehicles for items left on display and advise the owners as part of the "Clear Car Campaign".
You said: Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) - working with the community and partnership agencies to reduce ASB.
You said to reduce anti-social behaviour from group of youths in public spaces.
We worked with partners such as Bucks County Council Outreach services to work with young people. We worked with resistant young people applying ASB legislation to encourage better behaviour. We increased patrols and focused them on locations where you told us there were problems.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
