Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Anti-Social Behaviour
Around village green or park areas, often involving youths gathering during the evenings.
The team have been patroling these key areas regularly and engaging with any youths if there have been reports of them behaving in an anti social manner.
You said: Parking outside and around schools
Mainly around inconsiderate parking, particularly parking on zig zags outside schools
We have been visiting schools and arranging talks with parents. PCSO's have been attending schools at drop off and pick up times and talking to parents to encourage better choices at these key times.
You said: Speeding
Speeding has been highlighted an issue in many of our rural villages
We are in the process of setting up Community Speedwatch schemes using local volunteers to assist with Speedwatch events. Volunteers have assisted the PCSO's with the Speed Indicator Device this month and in Hempton 9 vehicles were recorded speeding. Whilst in the villages of Deddington and Balscote this month no vehicles were recorded speeding.
These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
