Local priorities - 'You said, We did'
The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:
You said: Anti-social Behaviour with Quad bikes and mini-motos
Residents reported anti-social behaviour with quad bikes and mini motos being driven around residential areas.
Partnership working undertaken with Reading Borough Council - leaflets produced and posted to residents in the roads highlighted. Residents given diary sheets to record and report incidents to help build our intelligence. High visibility patrols by officers and PCSOs in the Tilehurst and Southcote areas. A summer long operation is now ongoing in the Tilehurst and Southcote areas.
You said: Speeding
Problems with Speeding in several roads in Tilehurst and Southcote areas.
Static points were manned by the teams in the highlighted roads with officers using speed guns and PCSOs using a Speed Indication Device (SID). Cars were noted by the SID and tickets issued by officers
You said: Parking
Problems with Parking outside several Schools in the Tilehurst and Southcote areas at the school drop off and pick up times.
High visibility patrols in the areas were requested to attend. Numerous parents were spoken to and advice was given
