Local priorities - 'You said, We did'

The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police:

  • You said: More PCSO visibility

You wanted to see more visible PCSO patrols around Burghfield and Mortimer.

    We did:
We looked at which tasks the PCSOs spent most time on. We then devised a more efficent working method around these tasks, freeing up valuable time with which your local PCSOs now visibly patrol the area.

  • You said: Criminal Damage to Vehicles

You were concerned with the sharp rise in damage to vehicles in the Burghfield and Mortimer area.

    We did:
We increased the frequency of our patrols around the affected area at key times, ensuring that we could both see, and be seen more. We followed this up with a series of covert observations to ensure effectiveness of the inital actions.

These are being dealt with by your neighbourhood policing team in partnership with residents and other agencies. Progress will be reported in the Neighbourhood updates.
